Studying graphic design at the University at Buffalo was one of the best experiences of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I occasionally stop by campus to scope out the latest additions to the university and reminisce.
It’s always been a dream of mine to design for UB and it seems that this wish has come true as the designer here at Onion Studio. I just wrapped up two major projects for my alma mater – the School of Social Work’s Mosaics bi-annual publication and the School of Nursing’s annual magazine.
One of the challenges I faced for these two projects was to creatively incorporate the new branding guidelines rolled out by UB earlier this year while still keeping the publications unique to each of the schools. I’m a stickler for consistency and branding, so this was right up my alley. I enjoyed designing both pieces and ended up really loving the color pallet that was chosen for UB’s new look.
I’m also excited to announce that Onion Studio has a couple more UB projects in the works! Looks like I have a lot of fun designing ahead of me.
Enjoy!
